Toronto hosted at BMO Field D.C. United for its first game in the Audi MLS Playoffs since winning the 2017 MLS Cup.

A goal-less half an hour came to an end with Toronto’s Marky Delgado scoring off an attempted clearance by DC’s goalkeeper Bill Hamid (32′).  The game then went again into an hour-long drought, and just when it seemed as if the hosts bagged the win, the visitors got a lifeline deep into extra time.  DC’s Lukas Rodriguez scored an equalizer off Wayne Rooney’s corner kick (90+3’).
